Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have more than 15 photos?+

We based our parameters on research that indicates a short tribute keeps the viewer engaged.

What photos should I select?+

Choose photos of your loved one at various ages, that show him/her with a variety of friends/family.

Choose photos that show your loved one participating in their favorite hobbies or interests, photos that will help tell the story of what shaped them to be the person they became.

Make sure you have permission to use all photos from family and friends, avoid copyrighted or watermarked photos. Please crop your photos as you prefer before uploading.

How do I attach my emblem to a headstone?+

While there are several products on the market today, we have found Loctite Extreme Glue No Drip Gel to work well. For individuals that do not want to attach the emblem directly to a headstone, we suggest a memory stake.

Please note that this mounting product and/or method was not developed or produced by Door to Memories and may not be effective or functional in all circumstances or environments. Door to Memories accepts no liability for any loss or damage resulting from your use of these or similar mounting products and/or methods.

Do I need to seal my Memory Emblem?+

A clear coat seal is not required for either the acrylic or granite emblems, but if you’d like an additional layer of protection from the elements, we recommend Dupli-Color Clearcoat Multi-purpose coating.

  • “Door to memories, thank you so much for my recently purchased pet emblem. My dog, Cooper, was my best friend. He would often accompany me to my local community garden, where he was loved by many. I plan on displaying his emblem on a memorial stake, at the garden, for all to view and share the memories of Cooper.”
